List Building | Don't Let Anything Slow You Down

List Building | Don't Let Anything Slow You Down
When you run into a technical stumbling block, when working on a squeeze page for list building, what do you do? Do you sit there and think you can't do it and just walk away, or do you try to find an answer? I mean when you're thinking about adding sound to your list building page or you just want to highlight a line of text and aren't clear about the HTML tag. Do you just forget things that might help your conversion because you don't know how to do these things, or do you look for an answer?
Every single day I run into these exact same challenges, these exact same problems and trust me, the solution is out there. It’s waiting for you. If you just plug HTML into Google, you'll come away with all kinds of sites that can help you. You just have to take a little time to look for an answer. Just don't take too much time. You have to get out there and start list building!
The very best thing for you to concentrate on when you're new to this whole Internet Marketing game is list building. Get the squeeze page up and do it as fast as you can.
But as I said, don't waste too much time on stuff like this. Remember, the object is list building. If you can't get an answer within say... under an hour. Maybe you should give it up and forget it. How important is highlighted text or even sound for that matter? Get your squeeze page up so that you can start list building, and fine tune it after the fact. Start building your list above all else.
But there is another thing that you can do. Open up the phone book and find a webmaster. You can search "webmasters for websites." Then, you can call a local webmaster or a local webpage designer and you can say, “Listen, I have a very simple question for you. If you can answer it in 30 seconds and I like you, you might have a new client. Are you up for the challenge?” You say, “Okay, here’s my question. What exactly do I do in order to do this?... Go!”
When your question is answered, you have proven that they know more about web development than you do. You'll also find someone who's probably pretty flexible and willing to compromise. Be nice to them and pay them around $100 to develop a small site for you. Tell them you want it simple and soon. Never forget that it's all about list building. You can find people at eLance.com, too, but it's always better to find someone local.
What happens is that suddenly, you have a local connection, someone who can do the things you can't. I have 5-6 tech people that answer questions for me because I don't want to take time to learn this stuff. But if you get stuck, you can always type your question into Google and find an answer pretty quickly.
The thing is don't let anything stop you from list building. Nothing is more important. Don't let little things slow down your list building efforts. Just keep at it, and find someone to take out the bumps. I can't say it enough, "It's all about list building, list building, list building. Don't think about anything else."

Video Syndication Equals Free Targeted Traffic
When article directories became the rage a few years ago, now with hundreds, even thousands of them all over the web, syndication became a serious business.
Once we had several hundred sites to submit to we were more then eager to find solutions for syndication that didn't require us to submit articles by hand to each article directory.
And the solutions came screaming at us. Now it is unheard of to submit your articles by hand to all the important directories. Services abound to help you with article syndication today.
Enter Web 2.0. Video is all the rage, YouTube.com sells for a billion and change, and video search engines are popping up everywhere.
Everyone wants to be next. And they are throwing free video sharing and streaming at their visitors to attract a following.
Video is coming into its own now and people are marketing their sites by providing content in video, but not nearly as much as content is still provided via the written word.
Here is where it gets exciting. The cost of entry into the video production and syndication world, financially and learning curve-wise, is always going to be a bit higher than article creation and syndication.
Everyone and their sister can sit down and bang out an article like this one. Everyone has access to and knows how to use word processing programs.
Video is a whole different beast. You have to know how to shoot it, how to do screen captures (for how-to videos), how to produce a video that looks and sounds good, and how to get that video into the growing list of places that organize that medium exclusively.
Frankly, people will always be scared of the jump between article marketing and video marketing. This leaves a much smaller number of people competing in video search engines for eyeballs than there are now in article directories.
I see a massive upsurge coming in 2007 in the number of people creating and sharing how-to videos and viral videos to promote their sites, but nothing like the article marketing explosion in the last few years.
It's that barrier of technology and a higher learning curve that will keep the weekend promoters at bay for a good while, until video production and marketing is as common as article marketing. (If that day ever comes.)
My tip for 2007
Get into video. Learn about how to produce it and syndicate it. Find out what's going on at YouTube.com and how people are generating massive video subscriber lists and traffic back to their main sites with video.
It will take some surfing, some thinking, and some creativity, and that is exactly why you want to know everything you can about video marketing.
Because most people simply will not take the time to learn about video marketing until those of us who are doing it now are so entrenched, it won't matter!

Why should you start your own ezine?
On the Internet, it is very possible to make money without selling any product. One way of doing so is through starting your own eZine, also known as an electronic newsletter.
In a nutshell, you send out your eZine issues on a periodical basis to your subscribers. The good part is that you have a flexible choice in automating the process of sending out your eZine issues for you or manually sending them on a periodical basis.
As an eZine publisher, not only can you easily achieve the benefits a conventional newsletter publisher enjoys without having to chop down several trees in the process, you can easily and conveniently spread your marketing influence and expertise to your base of subscribers from the shoes of an ordinary individual.
In other words, you do not have to invest in expensive printing equipment, brick and mortar business, and hiring staff just to run your own newsletter publication, resulting in a lot of time, money and effort saved.
Basically, all you need to start your own eZine are an auto responder and broadcast feature to go with, enabling you to reach out to your massive subscribers whom you can regard as your prospects, too.
All in all, if you do not have the commitments of creating your own product for sale, then publishing your own online newsletter can be one of the wisest decisions you will ever make, given the benefits of impressive marketing power and influence it can offer to you.
I have been marketing on the internet for over 6 years. My most effective marketing method so far is having my own ezines. I use Aweber to manage the lists. They are a first rate company. My list is up to 50,000 with them and worth every penny I pay for it. The money is in the list. If you do not have subscription forms for your ezines on all your sites you are losing money big time! Do it now!
